We are open and off to a flying start.
We are filling up for the August Bank Holiday
John Allison & Nick Welch
Fed up with
working in the city, we opened our first campsite at Forgewood on the Eridge
Park estate in 2009. Offering a chance to camp in open countryside with a
campfire and a minimum of rules and regulations it was simply the kind of
camping we liked.
We’re glad to say that it has proved very popular with
other people, and we were able to open Inwood camping at Farleigh Wallop on the
same basis in 2011.
Abbotstone Wood is now in its third year and proving
increasingly popular with large groups and small families alike.
White Meadow opened in 2014 and proved very popular in
its first limited season. For 2015 it will be fully operational. The site is
much expanded with loads more camping options and standard Camping Unplugged
Lower Lepe is our latest site in what has become the
Camping Unplugged group of campsites all of which adhere to our
principles of good old fashioned real Camping. The difference this time is
that you can stroll to the sea in the morning in your swimming gear. No
woodland camping but loads of space and unregulated pitches.
So far all Camping Unplugged campsites are mostly
located on historic country estates with a choice of woodland and field
camping. Well managed camp fires are allowed, as are well behaved dogs. The
sites all offer the freedom to walk and play in the woods- a chance to get away
from it all, while still being able to get a hot shower when required.
We hope to
be able to open further sites in the near future, and will keep you posted as
things develop. We believe the formula works for our campers and just hope you
will come and join us and our ever-growing family and friends.
